The National Association of Film and Digital Media Artists presents the INSIGHT Awards annually to individuals, businesses, and organizations in the film and/or digital media arts who have made a contribution to society by increasing public awareness or raising social consciousness for situations, societies, and issues that affect our global communities.

The Insight Awards sets itself apart from other competitions by not only acknowledging skill and ability but also honoring filmmakers who, through their creative work, actively increase awareness, provide multiple viewpoints, create diversity, address complex social issues, and/or strengthen ties between international audiences across perceived boundaries of race, culture, age and gender.

The awards honor local, regional, and international individuals and organizations. Entrants include major studios, film and video production companies, advertising and public relations firms, corporate communications departments, cable and broadcast television, and Internet and web based organizations and companies.

The competition provides an equal chance of winning to all entrants, regardless of size and budget. This is done by judging all work individually on its quality, creativity and merit.
